Grant applied – Maximizing Nursing Workforce Competencies in Primary Care Settings (Submission Date – January 29, 2018)
The purpose of this proposed grant is to increase and strengthen undergraduate nursing education, practice, and retention and provide enhanced education to RNs to practice to the full scope of their license in community-based primary care including mental health and substance use conditions. Determining Nursing Student Knowledge and Perceptions of Opioid Abuse through the Drug and Drug Problems Perceptions Questionnaire. The purpose is to measure the knowledge and perceptions of opioid abuse of nursing students both before and after opioid-specific content is presented.
