'As You Like It' Closes Theatre 猫咪社区APP Season

William Shakespeare鈥檚 comic masterpiece, 鈥淎s You Like It,鈥 will close Theatre 猫咪社区APP鈥檚 2015-2016 season when it begins a one-week run at 7:30 pm. on Friday, April 15.

鈥淎s You Like It,鈥 widely considered to be Shakespeare鈥檚 final and most mature comedy, tells the story of Rosalind, daughter to a banished duke, and her adventures in the Forest of Arden, where she runs in an attempt to find her father. Full of love, laughs and intrigue, the play presents Shakespeare at his best. It is appropriate for all audiences.

The play will repeat at 7:30 p.m. on April 16 and April 21-23. A 2 p.m. matinee will be presented on Sunday, April 17. All performances will be in the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center, 5157 猫咪社区APP Dr. South on the University鈥檚 main campus.

The cast will feature seniors Brianna Bond as Rosalind and Zachary Fitzgibbons as Orlando.

The lead actors will be backed up by an ensemble of University students, including Colton Adams, Josh Alter, Will Ballard, Victoria Blackmon, Martin Cicco Jr., Thomas Deen IV, Laykan Dowdy, Aaron Esters, Payton-Brooke Fulford, Bryant Heatherly, Hannah Hicks, Colton Holcombe, Brady King, Nicole Lusk, Maxwell McCormick, Raven McShan, Abigail St. John, Marcia Vega, Blake Waters and Alexandra Williams.

Lyle Miller, professor of dramatic arts, will supervise scenic and lighting design; Rebecca Britton, associate professor of dramatic arts, is in charge of costumes; and guest artist Larry Southall, a member of the University of Colorado dance faculty, is choreographer.
