The Ã¨ßäÉçÇøAPP Faculty Handbook specifies policies and procedures that govern all èßäÉçÇøAPP faculty. Arts and Sciences College tenure, promotion, and mid-probationary review policies are presented below.

Promotion and Tenure Statement of Procedures and Criteria

This document describes the policies pertaining to tenure and promotion in the College of Arts and Sciences. Tenure and Promotion in the College is also governed by the University policies pertaining to tenure and promotion as set forth in the Faculty Handbook. 

Note that starting fall, 2014, candidates for promotion and/or tenure will have a portion of their portfolio constructed from data entered into Watermark.

Promotion to Senior Instructor Statement of Procedures and Criteria

This document describes the policies pertaining to promotion to Senior Instructor in the College of Arts and Sciences. Promotion to Senior Instructor in the College is also governed by the University policies pertaining to tenure and promotion as set forth in the Faculty Handbook

â–¼   Mid-Probationary Review Policy

Mid-Probationary Review Statement of Procedures and Criteria

A Mid-Probationary review is conducted for all untenured tenure-track faculty no later than the completion of the third year of probationary service, or near the mid-point of the probationary term for those faculty members whose probationary term includes credit for prior service. Mid-Probationary Review is governed by both this College of Arts and Sciences policy and by university policy as set forth in the Faculty Handbook.

Mid-Probationary Review replaces the Pre-Tenure Review. 

Note that effective fall, 2014, faculty completing a Mid-Probationary Review will have a portion of their portfolio constructed from data entered into Watermark/Digital Measures.

â–¼   Faculty Activity Report (FAR)

Faculty Activity Report (FAR)

The Faculty Activity Report is available for download from the College of Arts & Sciences eForms page.  It should reflect activity from May 1 to April 30.  Save this document with your name as directed on the form, and submit an electronic copy and hard copy to your department secretary.

â–¼   Watermark Faculty Success/Digital Measures

Effective Fall, 2014, all Arts and Sciences faculty are required to begin entering professional information into Watermark Faculty Success (formerly Digital Measures). Watermark Faculty Success is a web-based faculty reporting service. Data entered into Watermark Faculty Success will be used to build a portion of the portfolio for applicants for promotion and tenure, as well as applicants to senior instructor and candidates for mid-tenure review. Additionally, Faculty Activity Reports may be constructed from Watermark Faculty Success Data.
