Eta Sigma Delta
Eta Sigma Delta is the International Hospitality Management Honorary Society, which recognizes the scholastic and professional achievements of students in the field of hospitality, tourism, and culinary arts. This prestigious organization promotes intellectual and experiential growth of hospitality and tourism management scholars. Founded in 2018, the èßäÉçÇøAPP Chapter of Eta Sigma Delta offers excellent opportunities to enhance your industry knowledge, be recognized for your academic achievements, and become a leader in the HTM Department.
Eligibility
To be eligible you must:
- Be a declared as a Hospitality and Tourism Management major at èßäÉçÇøAPP
- Have completed 50% of the HTM program curriculum requirements for graduation
- Have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
- Be in the top 20% of the class
- Agree to uphold the values of excellence, leadership, creativity, service, and ethics.
Each semester our Eta Sigma Delta Chapter hosts the HTM Executive Lecture Series for the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management. This event is an hour-long lecture, followed by a Q-and-A session and networking reception. The Executive Series is part of a continuous effort by the ESD Chapter and the Dept. of Hospitality and Tourism Management along with the College of Education and Professional Studies to provide knowledge sharing, networking opportunities and employment connections. In this forum, industry leaders share their industry knowledge, experiences, advice, and more. Additionally, the Chapter meets a minimum of once a semester.
