The Department of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Biomedical Engineering offers Bachelor of Science degrees in both Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering.
Both undergraduate programs in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) and Aerospace Engineering (BSAE) require the completion of 127 credits. Prior to graduation, students are required to take the Mechanical-specific (for BSME) or Other Disciplines-specific (for BSAE) Fundamentals of Engineering examination. The ABM program allows full-time undergraduate students in Junior or Senior year at èßäÉçÇøAPP, who have both an engineering and institutional GPA of 3.4 or better at èßäÉçÇøAPP, to earn MSME degrees at an accelerated pace. Students registered for the ABM program may use up to six credit hours of graduate course work towards both the BSME and MSME degrees. This means that after earning the BSME degree the course load for the MSME degree is reduced by six credit hours. More information is available here.
Advising takes place during the two weeks before the first day of registering. Mechanical Engineering students select their advising appointments using . Students should also receive an email from their Department or advisor with further instructions on how to make an appointment.
