School of Computing Student Groups

â–¼   Student Chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)

The èßäÉçÇøAPP ACM is a chapter of the national ACM organization, and is dedicated to advocating for the professional aspects of all computing fields, as well as exposing the students at South, regardless of major, to a variety of different research fields in the computing sciences and to career opportunities in the world of information technology.

  • Membership dues for the student chapter is $15.00 per year

Jaguar Women in Technology (J-WIT) is a student organization at the University of South Alabama created for the purpose of supporting women in technology.

This student group works on the design and implementation of 2-D and 3-D games.

This group is involved with all aspects of computer security including “capture the flag" contests.
